Apathy

Apathy, born Chad Bromley, is a rapper and producer from Willimantic, Connecticut, known for dense, technically demanding lyricism and a deep grounding in hip-hop's underground tradition. He is a founding member of The Demigodz and a longtime member of Army Of The Pharaohs, both crews built around aggressive, lyric-first collaborative rap, and he is also part of Get Busy Committee.

His debut album, «Eastern Philosophy», released in 2006, featured guest appearances from collaborators like Celph Titled, Ryu and Blue Raspberry, and much of his earlier underground material was later compiled across the «It's the Bootleg, Muthafuckas!» series and the «Baptism by Fire» mixtape. He followed with «Wanna Snuggle?» in 2009, then «Honkey Kong» in 2011, an album that drew strong critical acclaim for showcasing both his verbal dexterity and his ability to handle conceptual material with equal skill.

Apathy has been outspoken against reliance on Auto-Tune, favoring raw vocal delivery and lyrical craft over studio processing. His fourth studio album, «Connecticut Casual», released in 2014, reached the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, reflecting his standing as a respected figure within East Coast underground hip-hop, valued for both his solo catalog and his group work.
