Antilopen Gang

Antilopen Gang is a German hip-hop collective from Düsseldorf, formed in 2009, known for combining sharp political satire with punk-influenced rap. The group's core lineup consists of Koljah, Panik Panzer and Danger Dan, who built their reputation on fiercely left-wing, anti-fascist lyrics delivered with dark humor and provocative wordplay. Early releases, created with founding member NMZS before his death in 2013, established their DIY ethos of giving away albums and EPs for free on their own website.

Musically the group moves between aggressive rap, punk-rock energy and Danger Dan's piano-driven melodic passages, giving their records an unusually wide stylistic range for the genre. Albums like Aversion, Abwasser and Anarchie und Alltag cemented their status as one of the most outspoken acts in German rap, tackling nationalism, capitalism and the music industry itself. The 2017 companion release Atombombe auf Deutschland reworked earlier songs in punk-rock arrangements, underlining their punk roots.

With Abbruch Abbruch in 2020, Antilopen Gang continued their trajectory of biting social commentary while remaining fiercely independent of major labels. Songs such as «Beate Zschäpe hört U2» and «Oktober in Europa» are considered landmarks of German political rap, and the group remains a reference point for artists blending hip-hop with punk attitude and left-wing activism.
