Alpha Wann

Alpha Wann is a French rapper born in 1989 in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, of Guinean descent. He is a member of the group 1995 and of the wider collective L'Entourage, alongside artists such as Nekfeu. Having family in New York, he grew up bilingual in English, which shaped an early, deep familiarity with American hip-hop that he blends with a distinctly Parisian rap sensibility.

He is widely regarded among French rap fans and peers as an exceptionally technical MC, praised for precise rhyme schemes, dense wordplay and references spanning rap and film. Before releasing solo full-length projects, he built his reputation through freestyles, showcasing fluent improvisational skill, and through collaborative releases with 1995 and Nekfeu, including projects like En sous-marin, La source and La suite.
