Almighty Jay

Almighty Jay, also known as YBN Almighty Jay, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas, who first drew wide attention as a member of the online rap collective YBN, alongside artists like YBN Nahmir and YBN Cordae. He broke through with the track and viral music video for «Chopsticks», which spread rapidly across social media and helped establish YBN as one of the more talked-about young rap crews of the late 2010s.

Following the success of «Chopsticks», Jay signed to Rich The Kid's Rich Forever Entertainment imprint, giving his solo output wider industry backing. His music sits within the trap and mumble-rap lineage popular at the time, built on internet-driven momentum and short, hook-heavy tracks rather than a traditional label rollout.

While the YBN collective eventually disbanded, Jay continued releasing music as a solo artist, including tracks like «2 Tone Drip» and «Off Instagram», maintaining a presence tied to the internet-rap scene that defined his early career.
