Ali B

Ali B, born Ali Bouali, is a Dutch rapper, television presenter and comedian of Moroccan descent. He debuted in 2003 with the album «Ali B vertelt het leven van de straat» and became one of the most prominent figures in Dutch-language hip-hop, blending rap with pop and R&B influences to reach a broad mainstream audience beyond typical hip-hop circles.

He founded the label SPEC. Entertainment in 2004, later renamed TRIFECTA, which became a hub for many Dutch hip-hop artists and eventually evolved into a management company. His biggest hits include «Ik Ben Je Zat» and «Leipe Mocro Flavour», tracks that cemented his crossover appeal. His 2017 album «Een klein beetje geluk», released a decade after his second record «Petje Af», featured collaborations with numerous Dutch artists.

Beyond music, Ali B built a public profile as a television host, making him one of the more recognizable multimedia personalities in the Netherlands, with songs like «Meli Meli», «Dat Is Money» and «Bentayga» reflecting his continued output across a varied, pop-leaning hip-hop sound.
