Alemán

Alemán, born Erick Raúl Alemán Ramírez on 20 February 1990 in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, is a Mexican rapper widely regarded as one of the country's leading figures in rap and trap. He began his career in 2004 alongside Mc King under the project «2 Rimas», later forming «Doble Rima» with DJ Phat before going solo. His stage name comes from his father's surname and has no connection to nationality, despite the coincidence.

Alemán's breakthrough came in 2014 when he signed with Homegrown Mafia after releasing his debut album «Pase De Abordar», later reissued as a deluxe edition in 2015 that came to be regarded as one of the best Mexican rap albums of its era. His sound blends hard-hitting trap production with sharp, technically dense lyricism, drawing from both American rap influences and Mexican street culture.

Over the following decade, Alemán released five studio albums and built an extensive catalog of collaborations with international artists including Akapellah, Bhavi, C. Tangana, Kidd Keo and Snoop Dogg, cementing his status as a bridge between Mexican rap and the broader Latin American and Spanish-language trap scene.
