Akim Apachev is a Russian musician, war correspondent, filmmaker, comic-book author and camera operator whose creative work is deeply shaped by his firsthand experience covering the conflict in Donbas. That experience reshaped his worldview and pushed his music toward openly political and social themes, addressing the fate of cities and people caught in war rather than conventional rap subject matter.

His songs blend rap with pop, rock and electronic elements, giving his releases a harder, more anthemic edge than typical hip-hop, closer to protest music or battle chants than club tracks. Tracks such as «Лето и арбалеты», «Джамбо», «Пливе кача», «Украина - ДНР», «Они ушли» and «Крысы» reflect this mix of personal narrative and wartime reportage, often built around vivid, confrontational imagery.
