Afrob (DEU)

Afrob is a German rapper widely regarded as one of the pioneers of German-language hip-hop, active since the 1990s. He first rose to prominence as part of the Stuttgart hip-hop scene and helped establish rap as a mainstream musical force in Germany, known for his technical skill, flow, and willingness to tackle both playful and socially conscious themes across his career.

His catalogue spans party and battle-style tracks alongside more reflective songs addressing identity, racism, and life as a Black German, reflecting his own background as the son of a Ghanaian father and German mother. Songs such as «Reimemonster» showcase his wordplay-driven style, while tracks like «Flüchtling4Life» and «Wollt Ihr Wissen...» engage more directly with social and political themes.
