Adamn Killa

Adamn Killa, born Adam Kelly, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He began making music as a teenager, coming up alongside fellow Chicago rapper LUCKI as part of the group 197 O$G before pursuing a solo path with a melodic, off-kilter style that blended trap-influenced rap with pop and rock textures.

He rose to wider attention in 2016 through his connection with the Swedish collective around Yung Lean, Bladee and Thaiboy Digital, releasing the collaborative hit «Ten» and other tracks that helped bridge American rap with the cloud rap and Drain Gang-adjacent scene emerging from Sweden. He released his debut mixtape, «Back 2 Ballin», through the label YEAR0001, and later joined the group on their European tour before eventually parting ways with that camp.

Songs such as «Cheerio», «Fall On», «Don’t Want», «No Reason», «Adamn Superstar», «The One» and «#PhaseMe» showcase his loose, genre-blurring approach across rap, pop and rock. Adamn Killa remains a notable figure in the transatlantic underground rap scene of the mid-2010s, valued for his role in connecting Chicago rap with European cloud rap circles.
