Abstract

Abstract, born Luke Terkovich, is an independent American rapper and musician who grew up partly in New Jersey and later in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he attended high school and first began experimenting with freestyle rap. He had an early grounding in music, learning piano, guitar, and drums as a child before shifting his focus toward hip-hop as a teenager.

Abstract built a large, dedicated fan base largely outside the traditional label system, consistently drawing hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners on streaming platforms. He is best known for «Neverland», a 2015 remix of Ruth B's «Lost Boy», which became one of his signature and most widely heard tracks.

He leads A Team Worldwide (ATWW), a small international creative collective bringing together musicians and producers from different countries, a name that over time also came to describe his fanbase. His broader catalogue, including songs like «I'm Good», «I Do This», «22», and «Scars», spans a blend of rap, pop, and rock-tinged sounds, reflecting an artist comfortable moving between genres while keeping his independent, DIY approach to releasing music.
