A-Trak

A-Trak is a Canadian DJ, turntablist, producer and label owner from Montreal. He first gained international attention as a teenager, becoming the youngest ever DMC World Champion in 1997, and went on to build a reputation as one of the most technically skilled scratch DJs of his generation before moving into production and dance music.

In 2007 he founded the record label Fool's Gold, which became an influential platform for artists such as Kid Cudi, Danny Brown and Flosstradamus, helping shape the sound of underground hip-hop and bass music through the 2010s. He is also one half of the DJ and production duo Duck Sauce, alongside Armand Van Helden, known for the hit «Barbra Streisand», which earned a Grammy nomination.

A-Trak's own catalogue moves between hip-hop, electronic and pop textures, often built around sharp scratch work and club-ready production. He has collaborated closely with Kanye West and other major hip-hop figures, and his combination of turntablist pedigree and dance-music instincts has made him a recognisable bridge between DJ culture and mainstream electronic music.
