A$AP Ferg, born Darold Durard Brown Ferguson Jr. on October 20, 1988, is an American rapper from Harlem, New York, and a founding member of the hip hop collective A$AP Mob. Before turning fully to music, he pursued fashion, running a clothing line called Devoni Clothing that designed high-end belts worn by prominent artists, before shifting his creative energy toward rap around 2009.

Ferg is known for his high-energy, adlib-heavy delivery and eclectic, often theatrical production choices that blend trap, horrorcore-tinged imagery, and party-rap sensibilities. His breakout moment came with «Work» and its remix, which brought together a wide range of guest rappers and turned the track into one of the defining posse cuts of the mid-2010s. Other key songs like «Shabba», «Plain Jane», and its remix further showcased his ability to turn hard-hitting trap beats into anthemic, quotable hits.

As part of A$AP Mob alongside A$AP Rocky, Ferg helped shape the collective's distinctive fashion-forward, sonically adventurous identity within New York hip hop, and he has continued to release solo projects that mix aggressive trap energy with a strong sense of showmanship.
