7liwa, born Ihab Amir in 1996 in Casablanca, is one of the most influential names in modern Moroccan rap. He began writing and following the scene around 2011, absorbing both local and international hip-hop before releasing his breakthrough single «Daḥk Tqada» in 2013, which introduced him as a fresh voice in the Moroccan darija rap scene. His mixtape «Kitabi Baki» and the track «Batal L3alam» cemented his reputation as a technically gifted lyricist, known for dense wordplay, punchlines, and a flow that set a new bar for the generation of rappers that followed him.

Throughout the mid-2010s he built a catalogue of tracks such as «Wld Fatima», a tribute to his mother, and «Nik DT», further establishing himself within Casablanca's competitive freestyle and battle-rap circles, where he crossed paths with artists like Dizzy DROS and Shobee.
