Sobre el artista
The Rolling Stones se formaron en Londres en 1962 y, junto con The Beatles, encabezaron la Invasión Británica de los años sesenta, convirtiéndose en una de las bandas de rock más influyentes de la historia. Construidos en torno a la asociación compositiva del cantante Mick Jagger y el guitarrista Keith Richards, conocidos colectivamente como The Glimmer Twins, la banda forjó un sonido arraigado en el blues y el R&B estadounidenses, filtrado a través de una energía cruda del rock and roll basada en riffs.
A lo largo de más de dos décadas, la formación clásica se amplió con el baterista Charlie Watts, cuyo groove firme y discreto sostuvo a la banda durante décadas, y el guitarrista Ronnie Wood, que se unió en 1975 y se convirtió en parte esencial de su ataque de doble guitarra junto a Richards. Anteriormente, el guitarrista Brian Jones fue un miembro fundador clave en el sonido original de la banda antes de dejar el grupo.
The Rolling Stones publicaron más de veinte álbumes de estudio, con clásicos perdurables como «Sympathy for the Devil», «Paint It, Black», «Brown Sugar», «Gimme Shelter» y «Honky Tonk Women». Su música mezcló influencias del blues, el country y el soul en una identidad rockera distintivamente arrogante, y su reputación como una potencia en vivo los llevó a realizar enormes giras por estadios a lo largo de los años noventa, dos mil y posteriores, consolidando su legado como una de las bandas más definitorias y longevas del rock.
