Sobre el artista
Nasty C, nacido Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, es un rapero sudafricano que creció en Durban y se convirtió en una de las voces principales del hip hop del país siendo aún adolescente. Llamó la atención con mixtapes y sencillos tempranos, y para cuando lanzó su álbum debut Strings and Bling ya era considerado uno de los MC jóvenes más prometedores de Sudáfrica, con el proyecto liderando las listas locales de iTunes.
Su proyección internacional llegó con «Particula», una colaboración con Major Lazer que dio a conocer su sonido mucho más allá de Sudáfrica. Su música combina el hip hop sudafricano con elementos de trap, R&B y pop, algo evidente en canciones como «Juice Back», «King» y «Eazy», y ha seguido colaborando tanto con artistas locales como internacionales.
Sigue siendo una figura central del hip hop sudafricano, reconocido por ayudar a elevar el perfil del género en el continente y fuera de él, manteniendo un sonido arraigado en su crianza en Durban y su identidad zulú.
