Joeboy

Joeboy, born Joseph Akinwale, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who rose to prominence as part of the wave of Afrobeats and Afro-pop artists reshaping African pop music internationally in the late 2010s. Born and raised in Lagos, he was discovered and signed by fellow Nigerian artist Mr Eazi's record label, which helped launch his career onto both African and global stages.

His music blends Afro-pop with R&B influences, characterized by melodic, laid-back vocal delivery over warm, mid-tempo instrumentals rooted in West African rhythm patterns.
