Jin (진)

Kim Seokjin, known by his stage name Jin, is a South Korean singer and songwriter, born December 4, 1992, in Anyang, Gyeonggi-do. He is one of the seven members of BTS, one of the most successful groups in modern pop history, where he serves as a vocalist. Jin joined Big Hit Entertainment in 2011 after being scouted, despite originally planning to study acting, and debuted with BTS in 2013.

Beyond his role in the group, Jin has contributed as a songwriter and composer to numerous BTS tracks, including «Awake» and «Moon», and is officially registered with KOMCA as a credited writer on more than a dozen songs. His solo output within BTS anniversaries includes «이 밤 (Tonight)» and «Abyss», both released as gifts to fans, showcasing his gentle, emotionally resonant vocal style often rooted in pop balladry.

Jin has also lent his voice to Korean television soundtracks, including songs for the drama Hwarang, and later released solo material such as «The Astronaut», co-written with Coldplay's Chris Martin. His work spans pop, rock, and softer R&B-inflected ballads, reflecting a versatile artist equally comfortable in group and solo settings.
