Fulminacci

Fulminacci is the stage name of Filippo Uttinacci, an Italian singer-songwriter from Rome. He began playing guitar and drums as a child at a local music school and later trained as an actor before turning fully to music, debuting officially in 2019 with the single «Borghese in borghese». The stage name itself comes from an old comic-book exclamation used in place of swearing, chosen partly because it echoes the sound of his real surname.

His debut album, «La vita veramente», released in 2019 on Maciste Dischi, established him as one of the freshest voices in Italy's new cantautorato scene — literate, wry lyrics paired with light, folk- and pop-inflected arrangements built around acoustic guitar. Songs like «Una sera» and «Stupida sfortuna» showed his knack for turning everyday, almost mundane observations into vivid, melodic storytelling.

Fulminacci has since continued to build a catalogue marked by warm, unpolished production and a conversational singing style, appearing at Sanremo and collaborating within Italy's independent singer-songwriter circuit. He is often grouped with a generation of young Italian artists — alongside labels like Maciste Dischi and Bomba Dischi — who revived intimate, narrative-driven songwriting for a new pop audience.
