Fazerdaze

Fazerdaze is the stage name of Amelia Murray, a singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Wellington, New Zealand. She began releasing music as Fazerdaze in 2014 with a self-titled debut EP, quickly establishing a signature sound built on jangly, reverb-soaked guitars, soft vocals and intimate, bedroom-pop production. Her music sits at the intersection of dream pop and indie rock, marked by a warm, homemade intimacy even as her songwriting has grown more expansive over time.

Her 2017 debut album, Morningside, brought her wider recognition, with the single «Lucky Girl» becoming a breakout success and introducing her hazy, melodic guitar-pop to audiences well beyond New Zealand. The record's DIY charm and emotionally direct lyrics helped define her as one of the country's most distinctive young songwriters of that era.

After a period away from the spotlight, Fazerdaze returned in 2024 with her sophomore album, Soft Power, released through her own independent label, Buttrfly Records. The album showed a more confident, self-produced sound while retaining the emotional intimacy that made her early work resonate. As both performer and producer, Fazerdaze has remained closely hands-on with her music, shaping a distinctly personal corner of contemporary indie pop.
