Big K.R.I.T., nacido Justin Scott en Meridian, Mississippi, es un rapero y productor estadounidense cuyo nombre artístico significa King Remembered In Time. Construyó su reputación de forma independiente con una serie de mixtapes autoproducidos en la década de 2000, antes de destacar con «K.R.I.T. Wuz Here» (2010), cuyo sencillo «Country Shit» fue remezclado por Ludacris y Bun B. Ese impulso lo llevó a firmar con Def Jam y a figurar en la lista XXL Freshman de 2011.
K.R.I.T. se caracteriza por anclar su música en la tradición del hip-hop sureño, con samples soul, bajos potentes e instrumentación en vivo que recuerda a UGK y otros pioneros del Dirty South, combinándolo con letras introspectivas y a menudo de contenido espiritual y social. Su álbum debut, «Live from the Underground» (2012), llegó al número uno del chart de rap de Billboard y mostró tanto su rango como productor como su habilidad como rapero.
