Kool Savas is a German rapper widely regarded as one of the pioneers and most influential figures of German-language hip-hop. He rose to prominence through the Berlin rap collective Westberlin Maskulin in the 1990s, cultivating a reputation for technical rap skill, battle rap credentials, and an assertive, self-proclaimed «King of Rap» persona that became central to his artistic identity.
