Jidenna

Jidenna is a Nigerian-American singer, rapper and songwriter born in Wisconsin, raised partly in Nigeria and Massachusetts, who studied at Stanford University before pursuing music professionally. He first gained wide attention through his association with Janelle Monae's Wondaland Records collective, which amplified his breakout single «Classic Man» in 2015.

His music blends hip hop, R&B, Afrobeat and pop influences, often delivered with a theatrical, dandy-ish stage persona built around sharp tailoring and old-school elegance paired with contemporary rhythms. Songs like «Classic Man», its remix featuring Roman GianArthur, and «Long Live the Chief» established him as an artist interested in reviving a sense of classic showmanship within modern hip hop and R&B.

Jidenna has continued exploring his Nigerian heritage and diasporic identity through his music, incorporating Afrobeat and highlife elements into later work such as his debut album The Chief.
