Letra y traducción

[Verse 1: Paul Young]

[Estrofa 1: Paul Young]

It's Christmastime

Es Navidad

There's no need to be afraid

No hay necesidad de tener miedo

At Christmastime

En Navidad

We let in light and we banish shade

Dejamos entrar la luz y desterramos la sombra

[Verse 2: Boy George]

[Estrofa 2: Boy George]

And in our world of plenty

Y en nuestro mundo de abundancia

We can spread a smile of joy

Podemos difundir una sonrisa de alegría

Throw your arms around the world

Abraza al mundo entero

At Christmastime

En Navidad

[Verse 3: George Michael & Simon LeBon]

[Estrofa 3: George Michael & Simon LeBon]

But say a prayer

Pero reza una oración

Pray for the other ones

Reza por los demás

At Christmastime

En Navidad

It's hard, but when you're having fun

Es duro, pero cuando te estás divirtiendo

[Pre-Chorus: Simon LeBon, Simon LeBon & Sting, Sting & Bono, Bono]

[Pre-Coro: Simon LeBon, Simon LeBon & Sting, Sting & Bono, Bono]

There's a world outside your window

Hay un mundo fuera de tu ventana

And it's a world of dread and fear

Where the only water flowing

Donde la única agua que fluye

Is the bitter sting of tears

Es el amargo aguijón de las lágrimas

And the Christmas bells that ring there

Are the clanging chimes of doom

Son el tañido estruendoso del destino

Well, tonight, thank God it's them

Instead of you

En lugar de ti

[Chorus: Ensemble & Boy George]

[Coro: Conjunto & Boy George]

And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime

The greatest gift they'll get this year is life (Oh)

Where nothing ever grows, no rain or rivers flow

Do they know it's Christmastime at all? (Oh)

¿Saben acaso que es Navidad? (Oh)

[Bridge: Marilyn & Glenn Gregory, Paul Young, All]

[Puente: Marilyn & Glenn Gregory, Paul Young, Todos]

Here's to you, raise a glass for everyone

Por ti, brindemos por todos

Here's to them underneath that burning sun

Por ellos, bajo ese sol abrasador

Do they know it's Christmastime at all?

¿Saben acaso que es Navidad?

[Outro: Ensemble]

[Outro: Conjunto]

Preguntas frecuentes

¿De qué trata "Do They Know It’s Christmas?"?
