Shania Twain es una cantautora canadiense considerada una de las figuras definitorias del country pop, conocida por fusionar la narrativa del country con una producción pop-rock pulida. Criada en Timmins, Ontario, alcanzó proyección internacional en los años 90 con álbumes producidos junto a Robert John «Mutt» Lange, cuya sensibilidad de producción rockera ayudó a llevar su música hacia el crossover mainstream.
Su álbum emblemático Come On Over, con éxitos como «You’re Still the One», «Man! I Feel Like a Woman!» y «That Don’t Impress Me Much», se convirtió en uno de los álbumes más vendidos por una artista femenina y la consolidó como una fuerza comercial dominante tanto en el mercado country como en el pop a finales de los 90 y principios de los 2000.
