Flosstradamus

Flosstradamus is the stage name of American DJ and producer Curt Cameruci, who operated the project as a duo with Josh Young from Chicago between 2007 and 2016 before continuing solo. Emerging from Chicago’s club and hip-hop-adjacent DJ scene, the act became one of the defining names of the trap-EDM crossover that dominated festival main stages in the early-to-mid 2010s.

Their sound fused the booming 808s and half-time drops of Southern hip-hop with the aggressive build-and-drop structure of EDM, a formula heard on tracks like «Mosh Pit» and «Prison Riot» and cemented Flosstradamus as pioneers of the genre often labeled trap music in the electronic scene. The duo built a devoted fan base known as the #HDYNATION, reflecting the community-driven, hype-first culture around their live sets.

Beyond original productions, Flosstradamus became known for high-energy remixes and mashups that circulated widely in DJ sets and blogs, helping push trap-influenced electronic music from an underground curiosity into a fixture of major festival lineups. Tracks such as «TTU (Too Turnt Up)» and «Rebound» captured the maximalist, crowd-igniting ethos that defined their live shows.
