Sobre el artista
Bodega Bamz, born Nathaniel de la Rosa on March 17, 1985, is a rapper from Spanish Harlem, New York City, of half-Dominican, half-Puerto Rican descent. He emerged from New York's underground rap scene in the early 2010s as part of the loosely affiliated PRO ERA and A$AP Mob orbit of artists, carving out his own identity with a self-described sub-genre he calls Latin Trap, blending East Coast street rap traditions with Latin cultural references and Spanglish wordplay.
His breakout mixtape «Sidewalk Exec» and the widely circulated «Trap Lords» helped establish him as a distinctive voice bridging New York's boom-bap heritage with the darker, trap-influenced sound that was reshaping mainstream rap at the time. Tracks like «Bring Em Out» and «Say Amen» showcase his gritty, charismatic delivery and heavy Harlem-rooted imagery.
His brother Ohla has played a central role in his career, serving as manager and creative collaborator. Bodega Bamz has cited the birth of his son as the turning point that pushed him to treat music as a serious career rather than a hobby carried over from his battle-rapping days in high school. He remains best known as a champion of Latino representation within New York hip-hop, using Spanish Harlem as both backdrop and badge of identity throughout his catalog.
