Bazanji

Bazanji is an American hip-hop artist of Kurdish descent, born in the UK and raised in North Carolina before relocating to Miami, Florida. He initially pursued a career path toward dentistry, but his growing passion for music eventually pulled him away from that trajectory entirely. After earning his degree, he chose to commit to music full-time, building his career independently rather than signing to a major label, and has since racked up hundreds of millions of streams. Before turning to hip-hop, he had already spent time as a drummer in rock bands, an experience that shaped his sense of rhythm and song structure.

His debut album «Mixed Feelings», released independently in November 2017, was a ten-track project that charted on iTunes' Hip-Hop/Rap chart and steadily accumulated tens of millions of streams. Bazanji's biggest breakout moment came in 2018 with the single «Runnin'», which found placement across major sports and gaming platforms including ESPN SportsCenter, college football broadcasts, the NBA, and the video game Forza Horizon 4, dramatically widening his audience beyond traditional music channels.

He followed with a steady stream of singles before returning in early 2020 with his second album, «OUTLIER». Throughout his career Bazanji has remained fiercely independent, personally handling writing, mixing, and mastering for much of his output — a hands-on approach that has let him retain creative control while building his catalog on his own terms.
